Truman Readers

Sponsored by the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL), the Truman Readers Award empowers Missouri students in grades 6 through 8 to crown their favorite book of the year. This initiative invites young teens to expand their horizons through a diverse list of young adult nominees, encouraging them to explore a variety of genres and cast a vote for the title that resonated with them most.

Students who read 4 Truman nominees earn an opportunity to vote for their favorite book. LSR7 students who read 10 or more books have the opportunity to participate in a field trip to celebrate their accomplishment! Students should talk to their librarian to see how they can get involved!
